Cagiva Alazzurra - anyone know much about them?

There are three for sale locally and I kinda fancy their square and boxy shape in an odd way. I know the origins of them from googling, but can anyone comment on their ride and reliability compared to my Monster 695?

I believe you are in SF and one of those for sale is from him. He's very helpful, and I bought my 800 engine from him.

I only see one other on craigslist that popped up a week or so ago.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

riding position is very 60's Triumph. Handling is fair, power is reasonable. My ex had one from Cousin Brucie and it,was very nice!

The one that is neither of those.   ;D It'll be up again within a day or two along with the ducati 851, cagiva indiana, and I think a 750ss which all look like they are against the same wall. I bought my 800 engine from him, kinda standoffish but maybe it was a rough day.

Not too experienced in them, but they look kinda fun.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

as long as you don't want it to go, stop or turn (comparative to the 695, settle down shitbox lovers) you'll be fine.  it's just a pantah with more 80's than 70's bodywork.

I had one. An 86 if I remember correctly. it had Fair Power, sketchy electrics, Vague brakes and a sadist designed the seat. On the good side it handled well and I took it on several longer trips and other than a numb ass it was a good time.

Warning, riding one into any parking lot will get you stared at. very few of them ever made it here so motorcycle people will be interested.

 A good friend had one, noted "Ally Oop", and after some judicious mods it was a very nice little bike. He upped the motor to 750 and refined the suspension, gave it a very cool paint job, and it was a nice bike, even used it 2 up.

I love them.

If you don't like knowing about your bike's innards, don't get one.

Ed Milich is nearby you, but he'll buy those three and part them in a minute and put the parts on ebay....

They are a restyled/rebadged Ducati Pantah 600TL.

I'd have to say that Curmudgeon's old Pantah 600 SL (edit) wins in the styling contest. It has a round headlight vs. the Cagiva's rectangle headlight. That nice looking Alazzurra Ducatiz posted above looks nice, but isn't stock. It has a more attractive paint job than the stock Alazzura's.
