s2r 800 - rear shock replacment spring for heavier riders

with the s2r 800 the spring replacement is direct onto the stock rear shock
without any other parts required. 

of course for those with bottomless pockets the ohlins 321 rated for 175lbs and then add the optional ohlins spring for extra monies
but then again if you got all that cash go buy a new bike.

Curious, how much do you weigh, and which spring(s) did they recommend?

any ohlins dealer should be able to order you a shock with you correct spring at no additional cost

i am not yet ready to pull the trigger as i am trying to decide which way to go
spring or ohlin with spring so the racetech spring has not been established
also waiting for the local dealer to get back to me about getting ohlin sprung as all they seem to have in stock is the stock sprung shock. and still waiting.......
but my thinking is save the money, racetech spring and do the front springs, again with racetech
unless someone has a better idea.

i used a super bike rear shock, from 999. same as 749.
works like a charm, its dirt cheap, and copes with my 220lb 6ft body much nicer than stocker.
i paid like $30 and sold my stock s2r one for like $40, so didn't even pay for the upgrade.
theres plenty of them on eBay.

Yah 999 shock with Ohlins spring works quite well on my 695. 998 forks are also extremely good.

seems like it would be easy to drop more money in suspension than what the bike would cost. 
i've also been screwing around with an S2R800.  my only consolation is to think the parts can go onto other bikes

When I had my suspension tuned, the tech suggested I get my rear spring swapped out. I have an S4R rear Sachs and I'm 210lbs, so I'm curious to know what I should be looking into.
