Hello all â€" always wanted a bike and this year I decided I was responsible enough to do it (jury still out).  Took the MSF course and bought my first bike, about 1000 miles so far this summer.  My 650 is great, except it has no character.  Looking to upgrade to a Monster 796 soon!  Any tips/hints when looking at used?  I want a 2010 or newer, ABS high on the list of wants

Welcome! Excellent taste!  Most 796's in the USA will have ABS, 2011-, and it works very well.

Check out the simple mods on my signature line. Highly recommended. Hopefully you'll find one essentially stock and not all crapped up with "personalization". 

Get an FOP badge from one of those guys to enhance your riding pleasure..., unless you have your own.
