Anybody got a great online source for helmets?

I blew $50 in gas today going to the Twin Cities (MN) and around hoping to find a new skid lid and the choices were non-existent. I have a big head, which didn't help at all.  Wink

Need to find a place that you can reliably order a helmet from with measurements taken at home. While drinking.

TIA.  Smiley

If your looking for cheap helmets (but still DOT and some actually SNELL approved) Jafrum is a discount wholesaler of all kinds of moto stuff, especially helmets.

What do you currently wear?
Do you have a particular helmet you are thinking about?

I've got a ratty Fulmer full-face that's rapidly showing its age.

Nothing in particular in mind. Just want something full-face with decent ventilation that fits me gourd.

Used them a few times.  Fast shipping, best prices I could find and great CS.

I bought mine at http://www.helmetshop.com but I went to their store in Daytona, no shipping.

I bought my X-11 from here a month ago.  Good service, great pricing. The dscount code is "motodepot".  I would buy from them again.

If you are up for a little ride, you can head north on I-35 to rush city and stop at dennis kirk.  Or you can order from them online www.denniskirk.com   Personally, I'd rather ride up and try on a variety of helmets to make sure I got the right fit, plus its an excuse for a ride  Smiley

Helmets vary quite a bit.

The last 3 Arai's I bought, I tried on 3 - 4 of the exact same size, yet there was a notice difference in how each one fit.

Not something I would recommend doing mail order - especially if you have a hard to fit head.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

+1 I ended up buying a Shoei after trying out quite a few.
