for one, i love the gold
and second, these are much bigger and love the feeling a lot more on the SS, and I'm selling it as well.

is this as straight swap as i think it is?
is the rear brake compatible as well?
heres a quick pic

I recommend waiting for a second opinion, but simply stated, yes.   Both should have 6-bolt rotors, the golds are 320mm and need to swap over with the gold 4-piston calipers and lines, and most likely the master, though I'm not sure if the bore is different.   The S2R has the black 2-piston calipers and are married to the 300mm rotors.   Always check your brake lines for slack at FULL FORK EXTENSION. Depending on your bar set ups the lines may not be interchangeable.  New lines can always be made up if you can't find a combination that works.   I don't know anything about rear brakes.   Somebody should chime in with more detailed info and confirmation but at least you've got something to chew on...
I ride both kinds,   Country, and Western.....

As manwithgun said, swap rotors and calipers as a 'set'.
You'll need to either use the brake line(s) from the SS if they're long enough, if not, you can get some made, or use one from any dual-disk Monster that used the big rotors.
I'd keep the master from the SS as well, since you like how the complete system works.

AFAIK, none of the rear brake stuff will swap *and* make a difference.

just got done with the swap tonight.
swapped everything over, including lines, didn't feel like bleeding anything and just wanted to test fit, but turned out its pretty direct (although monster lines on SS look kinda funny and a bit long, but not bad and they are all covered by fairings). adjustable lever fit on the SS master the same way as it did on monster.  overall, pretty easy swap.
heres some pics

and cellphone pic during the swap step by step sort of
