I had heard a rumor.

Just waiting for the word from the 'horse'.

Congrats.

What will be the fate of your 750?

IIRC, it's the aluminium swinger.

Two weeks ago I was rear ended while exiting the FDR Drive at 61st street.  The cars in front of me slowed.  I slowed.  The guy behind me didn't.  Somehow I managed to keep the bike vertical and not hit the vehicle in front of me.  Needless to say, my bike was a total loss, but I did keep the bike.  IMHO, good Ducatis should never be thrown away.  Coincidentally, the 1000S came into the picture.  Really clean bike.  The 750 was sold cheap to a DESMO buddy, frame straightened and just in need of a hugger and beer tray or suitable replacement or tail chop.

The 1000S is up at ECS now for the inevitable valve guide replacement.  I suspected so, but I figured now or later anyway, so I took the leap.

Here are your pics BP  (from the ad)

Great detective work Speeddog!  My original plan was to buy a 1200S in the spring and give a buddy a bargain on the old 750.  I think the new bikes are absolutely fantastic but I like the older ones better.

nice! Congrats howie! which ecu does that motor run? I noticed a light and day difference once my current motor was dyno tuned. might be worth it to make it run smoother since the bike is already up there.

+1 on that and I notice it comes with extras already fitted. Good score.

You have buddies? ;D

OK, I might be exaggerating a bit  :'(  Acquaintance?

DP 5.9  No point in any tuning until the guides are done.  After the guides we'll see.  Yep, lots of goodies!  Even a bike cover and a rear stand.  Bars look stock, but they aren't.  A little lower, a little more droop too.  The bike will loose the carbon clutch cover and get a woodcraft.

Speeddog

Those come with a 5.9 ECU, so needs a PCIII or the like, or reflash to alter fuelling.

It's been a while since I rode one, but I recall they ran decent stock.
Trim is adjustable, and no wonky air idle valve.

The last one I rode had big-bore hi-comps (1079cc), light flywheel and BST's on it.
It was pretty snappy.
