I know that gsxr fork seals will fit right on a 2005 s2r and they cost $11.00 each. Maybe that seal will fit your bike and you can save some moolah. What this board needs is a what fits what thread.

No more doctor visits for me. Im already 3k in debt cause of this knee and i cant afford any more visits. Keep in mind im 19 years old.
Thanks so far guys, remember i love comments.
I don't want to harsh your groove or anything, but as a 55 year old going under the knife on Tues after a lifetime of abuse, one bit of advice I can give a 19 year old is take care of your body. Riding a motorcycle without a fully functioning left foot (hence the surgery) is a PITA. I can't imagine riding one without a left knee would be any easier. Good Luck with the mods, and the knee.

It might be a good idea to remove the paint from the inside of the triples where they secure the forks.
When I painted my lower triple last year I actually masked it off.
Just thought.

Is the reasoning behind this because the paint will make the forks thicker therefore may or maynot be able to fit the triples?

Yes... eventually paint will come loose and so does bolts too, thats why I filed my engine/frame surface from paint too.

these are the moving parts of the suspension. The swingarm on the left, with tabs welded on. The rocker plates and mount welded to the engine case. The lower rod. And the arm in the front. The arm is actually pretty complex in 2 dimensions. The shock will be on the other side of the lower rod. And the rear of the shock will be mounted to the engine case with more weld on tabs.

Theres been situatioins in the S2R (which have no fenders) where rocks and bits have come up and damaged the shock. So a belly pan would be very importnat investment here.
