I believe it’s been mentioned a time or two. I’ve never read an article myself.

Several athletes in a wide selection of tough sports talk a lot about it and often talks about quiting while there is still a chance to live a semi normal life. (football (not soccer), handball, alpine skiing, runners, fighters and more)

Maybe racers don't talk about it to appear tough and/or not scare away the new talent....

Rumors of Repsol bailing out of HRC sponsorship after 2020.

Makes one wonder if Shell will continue with Ducati, or if the whole Shell part is BS.

At first I was going to respond by saying that this made no sense, but after reading the article I can say that I would have been wrong. HRC has been under the whim of Repsol for a very long time. Repsol isn’t international known outside of Spain. It makes perfect sense to go with Shell.

I just cannot see Red Bull stepping into Repsol's shoes with HRC, not while KTM is in MotoGP.

Completely agree.

Do you think Shell will open the corporate coffers wide enough for Honda?

A quick look at Wikipedia shows Shell is ~10x the size of Repsol, which leads me to believe it wouldn't sweat very hard

What about their long term association with Ducati?

Think that will suffer?

There seem to be roadblocks associated with that, indeed:

Nothing is simple, or as it appears at first glance.

Maybe Shell will 'Abraham' Ducati. Tongue

Zarco to Avinitia.

https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/zarco-avintia-ducati-deal-signed/4607475/

"I do not consider that I signed with Avintia, but with Ducati," Zarco is quoted as saying in the Moto Journal interview. "My goal for 2020 is not to be outside of the top ten, break into the top seven and aim for a place at the official team in 2021."

Just a guess, but I suspect Zarco will find the Duc as difficult to ride as the KTM.

But I guess that is what makes watching so much fun, huh?
