Crazy year he has had going from Tech 3 wonderkid to a factory ride with KTM then what appeared to be a factory ride with Repsol and now...Avintia Ducati.

He must have some good info and points of comparison for sure.

Being on a 19 bike with "extra factory support" to me means updates to make it turn as part of the direct contract with Ducati. Obviously Z needs that bike to turn if he is to perform anywhere near like he did on the agile Yamaha. I think his performance on the Honda was a good omen considering only Marc can ride it, so I'm hopeful.

Soooooo....

does Zarco have an Avintia contract, or a Ducati contract.

Just a guess, but I suspect Zarco will find the Duc as difficult to ride as the KTM.

But I guess that is what makes watching so much fun, huh?

Mark
Not so sure Mark. George couldn't ride the Honda after a full year, and it was close to a year before he had any success on the Duc. Zarco climbed on the Honda and was respectable. Now...if the Duc was the Duc that Casey rode o win the championship...I agree, because that Duc was very much similar to the KTM.

Why go with 30 yr old Zarco when you have Miller @ 25 & Bagnaia @ 23?

Because he's just ridden a fresh Honda?

...and Jack's position is already secure. Unless Johann suddenly starts outperforming jack on year old equipment, it's a done deal.

Totally agree.

Ducati may do another poorly executed talent management event, not like they haven't recently.

Johann's fast on the right machine and in the right headspace.
If Butterball learned how to go fast on one, Johann's got a chance.

No offense to Karel, he's ridonkulous fast.

I think Johann's faster, so it's a win for me as a spectator.  Tongue
