999 intake manifold leak

I think my S4Rs has an intake manifold leak at the base where it bolts/mates to the head.  I had assumed there was a gasket or an o-ring to seal the manifold there but looking at the parts manual there is not one pictured.  Does anyone know if there might be some sort of replaceable seal there or am I looking at replacing the intake manifold?  Can the bottom of the intake manifold be machined flat again?  I guess I could make a gasket out of gasket stock or something and give it a try.  Has anyone ever heard of an intake leak on a 999 in this area?  Thanks, Bill.

While I don't know a specific answer to your question, I have successfully used hondabond 3000 on many applications that never existed to have specs developed.

Thank You DD.  I have looked at 999 heads and intakes on ebay looking at the pics to see if there might be some kind of seal.  It looks like the manifold has a rubber coating and the seal is built into the manifold coating - not replaceable.  I will take the intake apart and see what I have going on - then get some (ugh) h*nda bond.  Maybe Yamaha or Suzuki makes something similar that I can live with lol.  I confess that I have been running Honda pre-mix coolant and chain lube so yeah Honda makes good stuff.

I actually don't think mine is labeled with any manufacturers logo, but for no reason that I think of that is what I have always called it... it's the 3M stuff that only really dries upon exposure to excessive sodium chloride.
