And there it is. She's gone.

I gotta believe she's going to be back in another episode or two, right?

And now with three big unknowns cleared up, what other bombshells are coming?

I don't know, but I have a feeling she won't be back in any way other than maybe a flashback/memory. Great acting on her part, just the expressions on her face in parts told that she knew she was in over her head after Howard and had to get away from Jimmy. And since it wrapped up during Breaking Bad time with Jimmy and hookers, I think Kim's part of the saga is over.

But there's four left to go though, and you never know with these writers. About the only loose end I can think of is the dude from the mall in the present tense that Jimmy still has to contend with.

Pretty good recap here: https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-recaps/better-call-saul-recap-fun-games-1383100/?fbclid=IwAR0I_zQ4fvLuaKAGfnXZJWf1JRlpe3LyAnjaGL_urlwz-JiBStpuR94-HSI

I agree, I don't think there is any chance of reconciliation between Kim & Jimmy, so a possible flashback may be it.  :-\

There is the intro of Walter and Jesse into this universe...

Speedbag

Really good recap...

If you think about it, this episode could have been the final. It will be interesting to see what goes down during the last four to drive home the transformation into Saul.

"I'll take care of it myself"

I love how Gene/SG played that one!

Speedbag

Yep. And now the Gene/Jeff part of the saga is over.

Wonder what lurks in the last three episodes...

Interesting that they didn't change the name of the mall.  Cottonwood Mall is actually located in Albuquerque at I-25 & Louisiana Blvd.  Maybe something the average viewer wouldn't notice?

Speedbag

Maybe there's a Cottonwood Mall in Omaha too? Probably just a matter of them not wanting/needing the expense of renaming the mall for the story.

And what of Gene's KC Royals lunchbag (they didn't show that for nothing)? Didn't Kim have a KC shirt? I wonder if she reappears in Gene-time again after all.

Really, it was just the name on the door to the security office and maybe another sign.  Possibly a Cottonwood Mall in Omaha.  They're also been a few other continuity issues in the series, like the SpringHill Suites adjacent to the Crossroads Motel, aka "Crystal Palace" which opened in 2020, well past the timing of the series.

The southwest decor could also give it away.  That mall was used earlier in the series when the  ladies from Sandpiper would go walking and Jimmy was trying to close out that case (maybe season 3 or so?).

I noticed that too.  Not sure if that was evident in prior scenes, but was certainly displayed to be scene.

And we heard about the "50 year-old science teacher..."

Looking forward to the next three episodes!

A-HA!  Missed that. Thanks

I re-watched the episode again and have to wonder if there's more left to be seen with Marion too. Seems to be a waste of Carol Burnett's talent to just leave it at the one episode.

I have a feeling the last three are going to be a ride.

Next episode is titled "Breaking Bad", per wikipedia.  No coincidence that in Breaking Bad, the episode in which Saul was introduced was called, "Better Call Saul", right?
