Thanks all.  Writing it was fun since I got to relive the adventure.  I don't normally write much in my daily life and definitely not for myself, but I found with this report that I liked summing up the days as it helped me process and reflect what occurred.

Ok, back to wishful searching for DS bikes online...

Awesome pictures, looks like an amazing trip!

Reminded me (a bit) of my native Taiwan... green and mountainous, the opposite of where I am now  coffee

Thanks, Eric. Your Alaska trip was one of many that inspired me to get into ADVing.

So it turns out that the RAW image copies that my camera saved did contain color information.  I just needed to open them in Photoshop to extract the color.  So I guess i'm not the complete idiot I thought I was, still just only half of one.  Grin

Anyway, I wanted to prove the point that Ecuador is indeed a very colorful country, but without flooding the Official Post a Picture Thread:

Quilotoa Lake

Plaza San Francisco (Quito)

Mountains near Sigchos

Mountains just outside of Quito

Hills of Angamarca

Town of Salinas

Houses in Alluriquin

Lowlands on day 2 (forgot name of town)

My last Ecuadorian sunset; taken in Montanita

Chicken near Quilotoa Lake

Chimborazo

Donkey parked outside the Salinas cheese facility

Girl in Pucayacu market

Don Bosco school and furniture shop

Cow along the south coast highway.  Even in the drought, very colorful.

Colorful laundry drying in Montanita

I'm glad you did the B&W pics first.

Kinda like a good dinner, then the color pics as dessert.  waytogo
