Try the gaps and see if the missing is better or worse.
I still think giving the carburettors a good tune will help too.
I would replace the old coils and leads sometime.

There are different part numbers for the DPR8EA9.  The proper part number for your bike is 4339.  Basically they are all the same, but the 4339 would be .06 out of the box.  You can use the plugs you have though.  The narrower gap will not help you with idle though.  Wider gap is better for idle.  Narrower gap comes into play at higher RPMs when events happen faster, reducing time for coil saturation to happen.  I'm with Koko, carbs at 4-6% and synch.

Thats for the exhaust analyser machine if you have one.
Go for an idle mixture setting that gives the strongest, fastest idle with the least missing. Then adjust idle speed. Synchronizing the carburettors is also important. These adjustments make the firing of the motor smooth and even.

ime the carby bikes do idle better with a 0.6mm gap compared to a larger one, like the dpr8ea-9 (0.9mm).  possibly just another of the contributing factor things that often add up to one big steaming turd.
