I'm thinking two, so there'll be a spare.

The Mercury Comet’s are cooler looking...  also rumored to be more resistant to death by tree.

Maybe a Dodge Phoenix would be appropriate for a next go around?

One would think, yet there is precedent...

Moving on.

One neglected Jeep.

I started putting POR-15 on the parts that were rusty until I noticed that it was all rusty.

Ran out of paint.

The old girl has been sitting for...too long-4-6 years or so. But I find I need a pickup again so two new batteries were bought (it's a 24 volts system) and some fresh gas.

Maybe....?

Do you hear that? We're talking 230 cubic inches of raw power positively churning out a mind-boggling 90 horsepower.

At least it might have fifty years ago.

It's floored. Go around.

At least with those tires they won't be able to track which way you're going.

I'm surprised the town isn't after you for a junk yard permit. Grin

Oh, yes. Those Jeep trucks are awesome. As long as you don't like a ride suggesting any suspension compliance, that is.

Split rims?  Evil They'll kill you just for looking at them wrong if they're pressurized and in the mood.

I am....very in violation of the town bylaws.

They somehow haven't noticed yet.

Yup, split rims. Calling around asking about having work done on them just gets some very firm refusals. Luckily they're the super common 6 on 7.25 or some such which can be custom made because they exist nowhere.

Also, I picked up a Falcon shell.

Yeah, I think I'd upgrade to conventional wheels....

When I was a kid, we had an old Dodge 3/4 ton that had split rims. It was tricky to find someone that wanted to touch them back then, let alone now.
