I'm about halfway thru my container of Mobil 1 synthetic grease ...... That I bought in 2004.
I'll keep this thread in mind in 2024 when I run out

Just a couple considerations which might be in order.
First, directly from the SuperLube website:
"Application: Super Lube® will replace greases used for most applications other than extreme shock and pressure environments where molybdenum disulfide Moly type grease or anti-seize lubricants are typically used. For extreme shock applications use Super Lube® High Temperature Extreme Pressure Grease."
Further reading reading on the SuperLube website shows that they list their grease rating for the Timken OK Load, ASTM D2509, lbs as being 40 lbs. For reference, that is the lowest of the three ratings. So, Super Lube® High Temperature Extreme Pressure Grease might be a better choice if wanting to stay with that brand.
Second, keep in mind that not all greases are compatible with each other. The significance of that characteristic is that it is probably best to remove all old grease before using a new type. Of course that might not be necessary if someone has done their research to determine grease compatibilities.

If black grease is esthetically unbecoming there are several other options such as the aforementioned Mobil 1, BelRay, and several others of various hues.

I knew OND would have something to say! damn grease geeks.
I actually kinda assumed as much (no really) and refrained from using it on my steering head bearings. I did, however use it on my motor mount bolts, axles, swingarm pivot and the needle bearings in the s.a pivot and shock linkage...

I always thought grease was pretty clean. It's the dirt that sticks to it that's dirty.
