Hello!  My name is Matt.  I am from Deland, FL.  I'm 38 years old & have been riding on the road since 17.  I started on the dirt when I was 11.  I have had eight bikes... mostly Harley's.  I currently own a 2010 Street Bob (which I'm looking to sell) and a 2008 Big Dog k9.  I have always had my eye on Monsters, but I still haven't flipped the switch yet.  I'm thinking that when I unload the Street Bob, I might go with an 821 Monster Dark.  I thought I'd look around here and see what you guys think of them, and what they are capable of.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard Matt! You definitely found the right place. I haven't had a chance to ride the 821, but keep in mind that the Dark models usually are pretty spartan compared to the regular model.

BTW, Melillimoto is scheduling a MV demo day on April 25th, but Sebastian will also have Ducs out there. I'm sure that you could head over to check out the 821 and you get the added bonus of meeting me!!!

Hi Matt; I own a 2006 FLHXI Street Glide that I bought new and have put 60,000 mile son, a 2000 FXDX Super Glide Sport that now has full floating Brembo brakes and Ohlins shocks (!), and three Ducatis - a 2007 Monster S4Rs Testastretta 998, a 2003 1000SS track bike, and a 2006 1000SS street project that I'm building now.

I think you will LOVE the 821; the v-twin feel is different from the Harleys, but all of them are compelling in their own way!

Welcome aboard.  Lots of great information to be had here!

He's still in the area, but doesn't care for bikes any longer.

Hey!  Thanks... I actually decided to go with the 2015 Diavel Dark... it just knocked my socks off, so I couldn't resist!
