I need to find out what the specs on the 1100s vs. 1100 Evo suspension is. I would like to add a set of Ohlins front/rear suspension from the 1100s to my 1100 Evo.

Anyone have the suspension/tree opening diameters? for the 1100s?
Anyone have any experience doing this?

From what I recall, the rotors are different. So there would be some sort of offset needed to mate to the radial calipers. I think every thing else is the same.

If you swap the triple clamps along with the ohlins forks it wont be an issue (if it even is one, which I'm afraid I cannot help with).

Triples are the same 50mm upper 54mm lower

You need 848 brake discs

Otherwise a direct swap
Did mine about 18 months ago

Get fork oil seals changed for GSXR 1000 k4 seals (genuine Suzuki)
I also paid to get my suspension setup properly with new springs and valving
As the ohlins stuff from the S is not much better than the standard stuff i replaced.

But now its superb :)

Please, tell me more.

My Ohlins are showing signs of leaking yet again.

The vet tells me Ohlins seals have very little spring pressure to reduce stiction.

Makes them leak prone.

I have heard that they are low stiction too

but after 3 sets of genuine Ohlins seals piddling oil all over my brakes after under 500 miles each time I was pointed at the Suzuki seals and have 8000 miles on them and zero leaks.

Valentino Rossi might notice the difference in Stiction but I can't :).

My Ohlins forks where rebuilt by MCT Here in England and Owner rec the GSXR seals http://www.mctsuspension.com/
he looks after many of the BSB & European Supersport 600 Guys as well as the 848 Challenge so I bow to his better judgement.

He also does a lot of work for US Ohlins dealers.

I can barely tell they're going up and down. ;)

So the only difference is the rotors? Could I not swap those as well of of the bike I am swapping with?

EEL

If they are not better than what you already have (as noted by cobra88) why buy ohlins for 1400 bucks off ebay?

Just re-spring and revalve. I think traxxion offers a pretty good deal for 1/3 the price.
