I saw that yesterday. Can anyone enlighten me as to Victory's racing history? This might just be an easy way for them to jump start the competition with HD when it comes to electric bikes.

Victory has no racing history. They're only a 17 year old company conceived solely to compete with HD.

That's why this was a bit of a surprise to me.

Well...if HD is developing electric bikes it makes perfect sense to me that their competitor wold try to beat them into the electric racing arena.

I would have expected a competing electric road bike first though, not this.

Better to lead than follow.

My point exactly. Is it better to be the laughing stock in the TT or a marketing opportunity in the long term.

Or maybe they're really onto something and this is the first of it all.....

True, but given H-D's last foray into road racing, I don't expect to see them doing it again anytime soon. Then again maybe their LiveWire program is more ambitious than we know....

But HD still does have a presence in racing and Victory doesn't.

It's not a bad thing to have on your resume even if it isn't entirely successful.

Race bikes rarely have stickers.  Wink

Victory = Polaris.  Polaris owns Indian.  Also, http://www.polaris.com/en-us/atv-ranger-rzr/racing

I don't think accomplishments of parent companies have much to do with particular brand history.

That would be like Audi saying they compete in motogp.
