parting my  2000 M900 Sie, and I just realised at some point the locksets pair up with the ECU. dont think this is the case wiwth mine, but i'd rather be sure! it seems pretty similar to my M750 ('97). is there a particular year this started?

I dont want to accidentally sell the ECU and lockset seperately haha.

Nibor

or is it the ECU pairing with the dash, that I'm thinking of??

this would only be with the digital dash, not the analog setup on my 900?

I think I need some more sleep  :D

It is ALL 3 that are "married"  if using the IAW59M or IAW5AM . . . If IAW15 not sure how is it that they are paired . . .

My advice, sell them together . .

Do your keys have chips in them?

nah they're in good nick, no scratches either  :P

I dont believe they do, they look the same as my 97 keys.

answered that when I searched for the image! pre-immobilizer key:

Then you can sell the locks separately.

Dash and ecu together.

On second thought...

I don't think the gauges are married to the ecu on a 2K. I might be wrong.

the gauges look suspiciously similar to my 97, so I didnt think so either. just that round multipin cable in the back, and a speedo cable.

make up your mind  :P

OK... :-*

I don't think the immobilizer came in until '02 except the S4 which was '01.

Pre 2001 2 valves, no immobilizer or pairing, 2001 S4 immobilizer, not sure about pairing.
