I guess it depends on how everyone is measuring.

Is it 4 1/4 oal or 4 1/4 center of spline to toe peg?

Hope you find some thing.

I interpreted that as the total length of the shifter, then measured from the outside of the spline to the closest point it would connect.

In contrast, the reverse shifter from my S2R measured just over 5" total length.

Does SSR publish a length for the 'standard' shifter?

Either way, it does look like the offset will clear. If you like the foot position all is good except the price.

I haven't found one, but MotoWheels lists the offset shifter length as 5.25" so I imagine it's similar which coincides with what I measured as total length.

What I need to do is save up for those CNC rearsets! Not only do they look nice and put your feet where they should go, but it looks as if they'd drop considerable weight vs the stock configuration.

SSR is absolutely a Chinese made knock off. But for some reason, every one that I have seen in my searches seem to be made by them. Since Cycle Cat is no more, it seems like SSR has taken over and that's all you can find...

So I ordered the offset shifter from Monster parts. Offset is ~1" which is great and clears the 821's massive rearsets. However, overall length is 5" and puts the toe peg way too close to the foot peg.
The shifter I had on my S2R1000 is shorter (~4.25") but the lack of offset causes it to hit the rearset.

Here is a picture of the stock setup arranged in the reverse pattern. This is as low as I can get the toe peg without binding.

Here is the non offset shifter.

Here is the offset shifter.

The ideal length for an offset shifter would be ~3.5" and IMO there should not be a downward offset, at least not to the degree of the offset shifter.
But, I'm not sure anyone even makes one yet. I certainly haven't been able to find one.
If I had welding skills, another option would be to chop 3/4" out of the non offset and weld it back together.
