Anyone know where to get clutch slave rebuild kit for 98 st2

koko64

Early or late slave cylinder?
DP got rebuild kits for the early type from a dealer iirc.

Does the end of the slave look like a 12 point socket?

Sounds like you might have the old type.  There are rebuild kits available for them which DP has used. At least they are available in your part of the world. If you get one, let me know your source.

My '01 M750 does have a 12 point socket look.  Does that mean rebuild parts are available?
Thanks

I've been told that there are no rebuild kits for the new "star" type.
Some people have had seals made for them. Most just buy a new aftermarket item.

Nothing readily available.

The "new star type" cannot be disassembled.

If you can unscrew the star, you can open it to get to the seal. I had a wrench made to fit the star. I think it was a whitworth bolt head welded to a handle. It was an odd size iirc. I opened it up, polished the bore and fitted a custom made seal from bikeboy which are not redily available. There is no kit anywhere as you say. Maybe Brad has some seals left. Some guy had some custom made and Brad snagged them.
I like the old style anyway, at least kits are available and I think the long clutch throw is better than that of the bigger bore types.

I went to a local place that made custom seals. The guy there said that the additives in some brands of brake fluid ate seals. He said no matter how good the seal, there was no guarantee, as the composition of brake fluid is constantly advancing and seal mfrs are only just keeping up. I hope he was mistaken.

My tech gets his Ducati parts from Melillimoto in Florida.

Kinda hard for anyone to know what dealer stocks what...pick up the phone...they have them in Oklahoma.
