gas tank coating?

Greetings. Ducers
So my tank looks like it needs coating in the inside who is the go to person for the job these days. It appears air and the gas partied RaTher well together for a long time i got a clean nicely bumped up carb and i dont Want to start of wrong.

Metal.  I saw kreem and caswell are choices of many.  I also see  some love red kote.  My tank is  slightly rusted so I am taking a precautionary measure since I am installing newly built carbs.

Look up Bill Hirsch's kit

I've used it on a few metal tanks and it is excellent.

It is a complete kit -- derust, flashing and coating. 

They've been doing this for ages.

I have a bunch of old vehicles, ranging  from motorcycles to  a dump truck and I've had good success with POR 15.  Probably more important than what product you use is the preparation.  Follow the instructions exactly.  No shortcuts.

The resulting substance is very similar.  Hisch just has a lot that is top notch for metal tanks.  I used Hirsch for years on metal tanks.

As stated above, prep is really the issue.  most of the coatings are very similar stuff.  i.e.some form of epoxy.

Second or third POR-15.

I've used it with success on a '01 metal tank
