I guess the lorry driver didn't hear the guy say 'oh faaaack'.

You could see her amazement when she approached the lorry driver...like...
dood...what are you smoking?

So easily avoidable. Oh and over here 'Lorry' is a woman's name, we call that a Big Ass Truck.

I'm gonna be argumentative...
just 'cuz I'm that guy.
Laurie...or Lori...would kick my ass if I associated them with a big ass truck.

The guy seemed pretty calm after the fact, but he had enough time to cross over to the right to avoid being plowed over. I know that many will say that he would have moved into incoming traffic, but the "lorry" was already blocking traffic at that point.

The stroller only had groceries in it from what I could see. I'm curious as to what the women said to the lorry driver.

True, he probably could have if he cut right when he first saw the lorry turning, but going off the video the whole thing happen within 3-5 seconds. Once he stopped, I think it was unavoidable. Sometimes the brain doesn't react as fast as we think it will.

I might also argue that in the UK drivers are more accustomed to bikes being all over. In the US motorcycle culture is not as common, so we get to deal with distracted drivers more often, making us slightly more paranoid. When I ride, I'm always scanning for potential "incidents" and ways to get out of them.
