Alright alright alright!

As you may notice, I joined back in '11 and I was looking into swinging a leg over an M900 and making her mine. However, a few things happened in between then and now. I never got to make one mine. What I did do was I ended up getting one of these and as you can see I put some wrench time and sweat along with some blood to it to the point my wife grew some attachment to it without my knowledge.

Fast forward a couple of years and I had had enough. I wasn't content. Don't get me wrong, the bike is an absolute beast. But the Monster still lingered in the back of my mind. So I had decided to put her up for sale/trade. My wife was noticeably upset and I could not understand why. I didn't think it would happen so fast but I found someone who was down for a trade plus money. Needless to say, my wife has been upset for me for the past few days, I asked her why and she said..."I wanted to learn to ride on it and maybe keep it for me! Sad." Had I known I would've kept it. Now she doesn't want to learn nor swing a leg over her.

Yes she is mostly stock but I see it as a blank canvas to build her to my taste.

Get her an R3 instead.  waytogo

That R1 wouldn't have made a very good beginner bike for her anyway!

I tried explaining that to her, I was also trying to steer her towards the R3 way before the R1 was gone and she was kinda liking the idea. Then I told her "Remember that R3? If you would've learnt to ride on the R1 which was too much to learn on and then transition to an R3 you would've felt like you were riding a bicycle." She wasn't buying it still. Poor her LOL she left to work today still worked up.

Using an R1 as a learner bike is a bit delusional.

I dig the white wheels.

I am a sucker for white wheels.

I could never have white wheels. I ride too much to worry about keeping them clean...

I am in exactly the same boat which is why one day I hope to get my stock M1100 wheels painted BLACK.

But I am still a sucker for white wheels!

Especially on a 900SS with a white frame. Oooooooooooooo pretty!

White frame? Now that has to be some eye candy. I am trying to go the pearl white route, but since this Monster might go to my wife once she learns I am holding off on that. But yes, the white wheels are very sensitive to dust particles. Luckily for me the SSS makes for cleaning a breeze.
