HI Everybody,

I've got a 2012 Multistrada S that may need it's Öhlins fork seals replaced.

I am wondering if any of you have a ballpark figure on getting that done at a shop or dealer.  I was quoted $850 at a
Ducati dealer and honestly have no idea if that's high or not.

Thanks for any input  :) :)

i've been all over the place.  currently i'm living in Austin and here to stay for the long-term; looking to buy a house.
life is good, been riding a lot but not recently because it's been hotter than you know what here; it's like a
blast furnace at speed.....i think halloween is when it cools back down.  been doing lots of outdoorsy kinda stuff and chasing the
women around which is always a good time, lol....

That sounds like the price to revalve with racetech parts on a set of Showas.

Figure $200 max for parts. Shouldn't take ~6 hrs to do that job.

Race-tech quoted me less than that. 750 for full respring and revalve.

Ohlins seals have very weak garter springs to reduce stiction.

They leak.

Aftermarket might not leak.

Depends what spec they're built to.

Ohlins oil has a specific weight. May want to look into what your shop will end up using as a replacement. If they are charging you that much, then they probably dont know what it entails and are guessing of some items.

SpikeC

My local shop charged me about 300, but that included replacing one fork foot. It is not that big a job if you have the tools.
