A few of you have replied to my earlier post about getting a monster. Now that I finally picked one up, it was time to introduce myself!

Name: Rahul
Location: Danbury, CT
Riding for: 13 years

Until last week I had a Yamaha FZ6R. My goal was to have that bike for a little while and then eventually get a monster. Due to work and travel (I'll hit 25 countries by this Saturday), I put very low miles on it. I finally decided I would not get a monster unless I sell the Yamaha. So I ended up posting it on Craigslist and it was gone in 3 days.

As luck would have it, I came across this Anniversary edition 796. I always wanted a white, red combo, but I like the fact that this is unique and that its #1 of 200.  Grin

I'm not the most active forum member, but I usually spend a lot of time reading and researching! If there is anyone in CT, hit me up!

You have some great rides near you, Rahul.  Look into the NY-metro area ducati owners club.  Doesn't cost anything and they do monthly rides during the season, including one in your backyard (it goes from Bear Mt to Danbury via Duchess county).  Good group of guys:

Also, for all you mechanical needs, the place to go is ECS in middletown NY.  Steve (owner) knows ducs inside out.

Anyway, thought I'd offer some local knowledge in case you're interested.

Safe riding.

Thanks everyone!

Namaste Dochunt!

1.21GW - Thanks for the suggestions. I will look them up. I left for Argentina the day after I got the bike. I'm still here, so I cant wait to get back and ride.

Also, I've been looking online daily and ordering the required items. (frame sliders, tank grips, protectors, grip covers etc)

Get the TechSpec tank grip pads right away. They made a huge difference in riding as Cromogeon a fellow DMF member had told me.
Also the Rizoma Faring Sliders are really good.
