I think the bikini fairing and a belly pan go a long way. you could always change the headlight completely too.

I'd suggest a bikini fairing, they do more than you might expect. For many of them you can also get a taller windshield for when you want more wind protection.

 Curious to see what you decided to do. Still leaning toward adapting a SBK fairing?
