I had to replace the main wiring loom on my monster.
Everything works as it should only the speedo indicates zero km/h.
I've checked the connection to the speed sensor and everything is as it should be.
Any help is much appreciated.

No errors. The wiring loom had to be changed due to the plug which goes in to the fuel ecu got damaged rubbing against something.

Is there a signal coming from the speed sensor?  Power and ground?

DMIreland

Every now and again the speedo starts indicating. Not real speed(way above or under the speed I'm actually doing) but only for few minutes and then stops again

I can't tell if there is any signal as I have no multimeter

I thought the shims are ther for the sensor not tu rubb against the disc
Cheers for that. I'll try it.

Sorry for not getting back to you.
I've added 2 shims, they are about 0.5 mm each and still no change. I don't have anymore shims.
Any other advice will be greatly appreciated
I didn't mention that I also run a speedo healer which was set up by vendor indication for my bike specs and tyres size and when I disconnect the speedo healer still not working all the time. Only every now and again I see the speedo working and it is totally inaccurate.
