looking at the manual it says this...

Front brake calliper retaining screw (RH+LH) M10x1.25 45NM +/- 5% GREASE B
Front brake calliper pre-tightening for settling (RH+LH) M10x1.25 2NM GREASE B

So I know what grease B is and have an equivalent.

What is the 2NM for settling?  Is this just shop manual talk for tightening each bolt gradually?  Similar to pinch bolts?

I have a stupid VA inspection plate that I need to take off my left caliper bolt now that I have my NJ plate on the bike (bike was a left over shipped from VA).  I just want to make sure I'm doing this right as, well, brakes are kinda important

THANKS!  [beer]

Pump the brakes a couple times with the bolts at the 2NM setting. Then, have someone hold pressure on the brakes while you tighten the bolts to final torque.

Most likely no problem just going directly to the final torque and skipping the 2NM step. After all, that is the way most people do it. But, now that you know better, you can nit pick your friends.  [evil]
