Jeff

Melbourne, but moving to NSW next year, Southern Highlands.

Been spending my time between Melb and NSW which has meant not much riding time lately.

Drop in here for a lurk now and then, and usually check out "Tech" section once a week

2 x '93 M900 six numbers apart on the VIN the older one being 14** off the production line still trying to find anyone out there with an older surviving Monster!
'95 M900
'97 M900
'02 M400

Currently parting a '89 PASO 906, '96 M600, '97 M900, '01 900SS, '06 S2R, '13 M1100

Just started a Ducati Parts business after the frustration of restoring my two '93's & spending a fortune on shipping from OS! (Not sure if plugging it on here is allowed so I won't mention the business name!)

Cheers, Marty  waytogo

Cheers Marty!

I doubt you'll find numbers 1-13, they're probably long gone. Lol!

Which of your Monster collection is your favourite?

I guess you're going for West Coast today??

I reckon your bike will become sought after here with its dry clutch and Ohlins.

I bought my first 1100S new and later regretted the sale (to buy a boring car!), so went to great lengths to find a low milage 1100S.  I think it had under 4000km on the clock when I bought it, so essentially new.

Hi CK,

Gee, I wish it was number 14 but it's one thousand four hundred ** (don't want to give away my VIN on a public forum!)

As for a favourite, it's a bit like having kids you don't really have a favourite - the 93's will always be special as I worked so hard on re-building them.  The '95 is my rat bike, it looks tatty but so much fun to ride as I don't worry about dropping it (so far so good I haven't!). The '97 again very differently set up & fun to ride. The 400 is the bike I ride to work on my 4am sign-on's as it is the quietest bike with the standard exhausts (don't want to piss off the neighbours) & surprisingly is a great fun bike to ride, the temptation to fit Termingnoni & hot it up a little is huge but that would then defeat it's purpose!
