Any good sources for the dust covers/bushings for the non-adjustable, 40mm stanchion marzocchi's...Race Tech is shipping the fork oil seals but don't have the dust covers/wiper outer seal. Racetech might have the bushings but I don't know the correct part # to give them.

Have checked several sources EXCEPT the Ducati Dealers so if anyone knows good non-ducati sources i would really appreciate it...THANKS!!

update: Pyramid USA has the dust seals, just ordered. Apparently they offer teflon coated bushings for this marzocchi set-up but they are on back order...the dust seals/wipers are nok seals. i will post up some results as to the fitment once i figure out how to get the lower stanchion tubes removed for replating. Racetech sells this specialty tool but at $200.00 USD it is too spendy for me at this time:

if anyone knows a work-around for removing the fork tubes on these marzocchi front ends please let me know!!

THANKS ALL & CHEERS!!!

Be careful with aftermarket bushings, specifically the outer bushing that sits behind the seal.

I had a set that was a bit large, if I had driven them in, they *never* would have come out.

I had to file the end-gap.

suspecting that i will have to source the little tiny grub screws in the fork bottoms and see if there are o rings or anything in the stanchion bottoms...pretty sure going to have to really heat the bottoms with a torch to get the pitted/crummy stanchions out of the bottoms for replating...waaay to far gone to try to polish out!!

I've given your situation a bit more thought, and talked with a long-time Ducati wrench.

My recommendation is to abandon those forks, and get some Showas, either the adjustable or non-adjustable versions.
It'll not be much more money than you're currently stepping up for, and they'll be much better forks.

Thanks for the input...I am still trying to decide what direction to go in, already have all the parts for these marzocchis except having the fork lowers replated unless i tear something up in the course of removing the stanchion legs from the lowers that is hahahaaa

Back Speeddog on that, many folk have gone through the same scenario.
I swapped out my Marzocchi's on the S2R800 for a set of Showas off a S2R1000.
Had them serviced and set for my weight.
Essentially you'll be spending the same money getting the Marzocchi serviced...maybe more, so why not have a better set of forks with adjustability......
