so, nail in the rear tire with very low miles.
did research[1].
i understand the risks and would like to have the tire patched.
i attempted a rope plug; failed: it leaks.

now, i would like to have it mushroom patched from the inside.

problem is, i've been calling around and nobody* wants to do it.

can someone recommend a decent place in (southern) NH or (northern) MA?
or provide tips on how to find a place that would patch?

*: i've called sullivan tire, town fair tire, independent car shop, independent motorcycle shops, and motorcycle dealers.

i contacted Tech, makers of uni-seal patch/plugs. called myself down to the local distributor. he gave me the name of a few businesses that use this product. called 4: "too much liability" is the typical answer.
i think that's BS. liability could be dealt with a waiver.

unrelated to above, i found one place that will do it for $60:

A friend had the same issue with the new rear tire of a BMW K1200 RS. we pulled the tire and installed an inside patch that we obtained at an auto parts store and did it ourselves. It held until the tire was worn out.

i thought about doing it myself; however when i first try something, sometimes it takes me a few redos to do it rite. i didn't think this would be something that i'd want to redo.

i found a place that did it for $25. now when the tire fails, we'll know that my life was worth $132.  ;D

I have something similar. I bought the kit off amazon but personally haven't had to use it (hope I never do) but my friend has used it with great success. I'm 15 min south of Boston

Purchased the foam rope glue type plugged from a honda dealer.  Used it to plug a nail hole in an almost new Moto guzzi tire.  Held air until the tire was bald.
