Anyone install an MRA windscreen?  Of all the windscreens out there, personally.. it seems like the only one that seems like standard OEM lines. Like it came with the bike.  Has anyone installed one.. what was the performance like. Better, worse, no change?

It looks quite nice, butt aerodynamics can be a pregnant dog! How well it works will depend on how tall you are, what you helmet is like, what your body type is like, and how you brush your teeth!

Understood. However, considering, I have no bikini fairing at all right now.. Im hoping it will make a big difference. I have a 2009 white ducati monster. In my opinion the oem WHITE bikini fairing looked ridiculous, so I took it off.  I have to admit tho, that little piece of plastic definitely deflected a lot of wind.  So ive decided to purchase a black oem fairing on fleabay.. im hoping it will be less visually distracting.. Then add a slightly taller windscreen like the one posted.  I was just wondering if anyone has tried this company yet.

I can't help you with the MRA, sorry.

It is interesting though, how effective (or not) different people find the same equipment.

Like you polivo, I too ditched the stock 'bikini fairing' on the grounds it looks ridiculous.

Unlike you, I also ditched the stock 'bikini faring' coz I found it utterly useless as any kind of wind protection and noticed not one iota of wind buffeting difference once it was gone.

So, looking at this MRA screen I think that it will be equally as useless.  But YMMV - and by our differing experiences - probably will.

Ung, you are so right! I took my bikini fairing off years ago and I never noticed a difference at all; yet others will tell you that the stock bikini faring makes the bike ride damn near like a Goldwing!

There is a thread in TECH where there is chatter about removing the exhaust valve changing the way the bike runs down low. I pulled mine off quite a while back and I never noticed a difference.

I think so much of this kind of stuff is placebo effect in action. When I put slip on's on my bike (slip on's ONLY, not full exhaust) I would have SWORN to you that my bike had more power! In reality I think I was just winding up into the RPM's a bit more because it sounded so bad ass!  Evil

All that being said, to the OP, that wind screen looks (to me) like it really WOULD make a difference!

Perhaps since im shorter (5-8'), that little windscreen made a noticeable change. I didn't mind tho, since I felt it looked so much better without it.  It used to provide just enough deflection, that the wind stream would seem to be directed right at my helmet. Withouth it, I feel the wind / air directly UNDER my helmet which creates a noticeable amount of noise.  |

In my opinion.. granted its tiny.. but it seems to move defelect some air.. which definitely quites things down a bit.

Ill post a pic and review as soon as I get it all put together. Mid Feb.

Can't say for your newer monsters, but the factory bikini fairing on the older ones works for me.  The (smaller) Dart even more so   Tank bag works well too.  Yes, I'm inseam challenged.

haha.... you are right too  Grin  Removing the flapper gate from your M796/M1100 stock exhaust will achieve absolutely nothing (except save a little weight) as during normal riding conditions..... it does nothing....  in normal running it's always open.  That one is all placebo.

The screen experiences though..... I really think that what one person finds effective.... another just doesn't.

Heres my white monster with the black  bikini fairing finally on. I get some wind protection back.. while not having an obvious silly bikini  screen. What do you guys think?
