I've posted this on other forums but I know you guys are pretty handy at this......
So I'm at the electrics stage of my build. I have totally re wired my whole 2007 695 to accommodate after market clocks, lights and controls. I've had my immobiliser disconnect along with my lambda sensor and have bypassed the stand switch. Anyway I've wired it all back up except the lights, I turn the key (hot wired it, because of no barrel atm) the fuel pump kicks in and the relays flick into life, I hit the run button but nothing! I'm going out of my mind trying to figure out what it is and I'm very aware that it could be a number of things.
Can someone please clarify for me that if I have had my immobiliser removed from the brain that the bike should start with the clocks disconnected? I have since sold the clocks to help fund the build so can't plug them back in to check!
Any ideas would help immensely

Yes, if the immobiliser has been disabled the bike should start without gauges.
Does it crank?

No it doesn't crank?
Would the fuel pump kick in and the relays tick on a key turn if the immobiliser was active?

Do you have a working neutral light (signal)?

I'm not sure about the pump and relays. The starter button sends a signal to the ecu and the ecu sends a signal to the solenoid. It's the small white plug. You should have 12v across the two wires in that plug for whatever the duration of cranking should be after the button is pressed. Lars makes a good point. That bike won't start if there's no neutral light signal to the ecu.

No I haven't plugged in the neutral light into the back of the engine, but saying that I have tried it with the clutch lever depressed so it shouldn't matter if the bike is receiving a neutral signal on not.........right?
I have hot wired the solenoid just to double check everything works from there down, it does but obviously still no spark or at a guess signal from the brain to injectors etc?

Without seeing a diagram I can't tell...I'd guess so.
A bike that's been apart won't necessarily fire right off on the first starter cycle.
Seems you're guessing there's no spark or signal to the injectors.
I'd work on one issue at a time. Get it to crank off the starter button. Then you should be able to test the rest.

^^ Well, that's assuming the clutch lever micro switch is working and wired correctly.
Then there's the side stand switch bypass....

Exactly! Is could be a whole string of events!
The problem is not being able to get it to crank from the button leaving me to think the immobiliser hasn't been removed properly
I will go back and check the neutral switch light make sure the side stands with is correctly bypassed
When I hot wired the solenoid I had a plug out and earthed to the frame to test for a spark......nothing on turnover

...and just to be sure... the kill switch is connected and in the run position.

You wouldn't be the first if that happened to be the case.
