Hello all,
I have owned a 1999 Ducati Monster from new (M600 Dark), but as with most Monsters it hasn't remained standard.
900 Supersport engine (JE High comp pistons), High level exhausts, carbon, 888 swing arm, 888 rear wheel, 916 cast iron fully floating front discs, 916 master cylinders and a splattering of carbon fibre was just the start.
I have just started a full strip down and rebuild and I have got hold of a different engine:
So a complete ST2 engine was bought for £250 and with a bit of cutting on the frame and some more bracing put in it fitted, it also shows the stainless steel custom exhaust:
Here is some of the after-market stuff I am fitting, alloy intakes:
Adjustable cam wheels:
Some of the stuff I have hacked up myself, here is the clutch case mocked up after I went a bit mental with a hand saw and some files:
The bike has now had the final bits welded and not tacked and is just about to go and get powder coated.
Here is one of my other Ducatis, it was a 750SS and now has a 900SS engine and some home made stuff:
Here is my other Ducati project, it was an ST2 and is now getting well and truly butchered:
Cheers for the in,
Yorkie
