Anyone running them?

I talked to a guy at Pirelli USA, and he said mileage should be about the same as Angel GT.
I'm a bit skeptical of that.

Oh course, no one was selling the Rosso III when I needed a tire 2 weeks ago and they come in the stock size for the 821...

Well, it seems those that are selling the III now only have 180/55 and 190/55.
So you'd still be SOL.

Unfortunately, I'm rolling a fairly new set of Angel GTs, so not likely up for any new tires very soon.

I just saw that they are available in that size. Haven't seen anyone selling them yet. But yeah, we'll see how this GT does out back and then decide from there when it's time to replace the whole set.

It's descibed as having the center 20% a harder compound, which continues in a thin layer on the carcass under the softer surface rubber on the remaining 40% on each side.

If the rubber in the center is like the GT, then it would look like a good tire.

Yeah, and that's what I was thinking too. I've only put a couple hundred miles on the GT so far. The "GT" is just about worn down...

If anyone was curious in trying the Rosso III, now's a good time since there is a rebate of $40 for a set of Pirelli tires right now

How are they doing the rebate? I just bought a tire and have the receipt. I'd love to pocket $40...

I have these mounted on the m1100 right now, but won't start riding for another month.

Sweet!  I'll be ordering a set of Rossos in another week or so...
