09 696 clutch slipping. 19k miles

Last bike i bought new was a 2012 DL650. Put 26k miles on it no issue. Bought my Duc last year and put 9k on it since purchase. Noticed the clutch slipping about 2k ago. I had the slave go out on me and replaced with oberon i think. Not sure if that contributed?? I dont think its me. May have been previous 2 owners? Anyways, I run mobil 1 vtwin 20w50. Proper oil correct? I always ran rotella t6 in my DL and SV. Could i switch to that? Would it help? Slips when accelerating hard or shifting without the clutch.. sucks but i plan on replacing it soon anyways.

I always have to ask...stock levers and nobody has messed with the epoxied adjusters?  That brand oil has always worked very well for me, but I use 10W40 in my Ducs.  Is 20W50 suitable for the 696 in your climate?

May be a little on the heavy side. Riding this morning. Currently 42 degrees. High today 81..

NO. Not the stock levers. Bought it with some adjustables on it already...

edit: highest temps we will see is usually 100. not too often. usually mid 90's..

It is just a little more than that.  Put 140 miles on it this morning.. Its gone. Time for a replacement. Best place to look? I am guessing damage was already done when i got it. I would at least like to assume it. Haha. But based on my other two bikes, it isnt me. Haha.

Be prepared for sticker shock.  The APTC plates are not cheap, and aftermarket options haven't been recommended.  If you need to pinch pennies, you might want to remove/inspect/measure and shim new springs to see if you can get more mileage.  When I did my M695 due to slippage the old plates measured fine, but I also found a loose hub nut - not sure if that contributed to the slippage.  Installed new everything since I already had it.  Sold the old plate set for cheap and I think the guy who used them had success.
