Hello everyone,

Last week I bought a Ducati Monster ZDM 600M. Bike is in bad bad condition, although it's engine is sound and seems to work fine but body, electronics and paint work need a complete restoring.

I started to disassemble the bike and took most of the bits off, now it's left with frame, engine and front fork/wheel and i'm planning to take rest of the bits apart on Weekend.

Now for complete restoration, i will surely need workshop and service manuals and it came with nothing at all. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with manuals. My e-mail is    za291277@gmail.com
I will really appreciate if anyone can help me out.

Thanks...

Haynes manual and Desmotimes 2 Valve manuals would compliment each other nicely.
The sponsors Motowheels and Monsterparts probably have them.

Hey guys,

Is that all the help I'm gonna get from this forum?

kind regards,

Unfortunately I do not have an electronic copy of that old manual. Someone else may have one. I have old books! It is important to have a manual for the jobs you are undertaking. Check the Motowheels website and Monsterparts website who are forum sponsors. I strongly suggest buying the two manuals mentioned and reading them carefully.

They aren't free, but very reasonably priced. You didn't mention what year or language.

you did get great advice- Haynes and DesmoTimes are the best manuals. You have to buy them, but pretty cheap. I find the Ducati factory manual not detailed enough for a home wrencher like me.

Doh!

I figured it was a carby. I don't think they made a 600 FI model.

I figure ID# 27 should work for him. It's multi-language, and he seems to speak English well.

I have to agree with silas. The Haynes manuals are better for the casual DIYer than the factory manuals especially when it comes to service details.

;D    Thank you guys Thank you so much for your help. I'll definitely buy those two manuals and read them throughly. Actually I'm in Pakistan and sometimes getting things online becomes a pain taking task. But surely I'll some how manage to buy those manuals.

Just to add

I'm looking for Manuals in English
and It's a Ducati Monster ZDM 600M 1994 or 1996
and yes it is a carburettor model.....

Honestly when I see the condition of this poor monster and how it was treated, my blood start boiling lol but i'm sure in a few months time it'll be entirely restored and back in it's original beauty and grace....

Once again thank you very much for all the help and suggestions....
