I believe, not sure, but the S4 uses the same setup as the M900. Both being double-swingers and all

I believe, further, that the setup is the 2000+ DSS setup, but again, I could be wrong. I get awfully distracted on Paternity Test Tuesday (curse you morning radio show!)

I never can figure out why there's a difference from 1999 and earlier DSS and 2000+ DSS Monsters, when the stock rearsets look the same. But Rizoma chose to find a distinguishing characteristic, and build theirs for the 2000+ (but originally were available for pre-2000's I believe. Some lack of spacer now?)

Okay problem solved  Grin

Rizoma just sent me an email with their new M696 parts lineup... everything from belt covers, plate holder, sliders, etc... to rear sets with passenger pegs!

I'll list these up on my site soon - just waiting on some final info to come through... like price, etc... for the US. It does look like they will be quite expensive. Here are the Euro prices which don't translate direct to US via the current conversion - but you'll get the point.

Rear sets: 699 euro
Passenger pegs: 249 euro
Passenger peg adapters: 29 euro

They look really good too! I'll post an image later...

what is that PM501? the timing belt cover is ok, but i think i'll go with the dp carbon fiber one. and i'm not feeling those fatty bars, though i do like them black. but those rear sets are sweet! will the standard rizoma passenger pegs kit work with those rear sets? also, when will these be available?

PM501 is an engine protector set.... sliders if you will. Passenger pegs are designed to work with the 696 - not universal (well the pegs are, but not the mounting brackets). I'll get you an ETA soon.

Monster 696 items should be available around the middle of June - just over a month away. All tooling is done and they are being made now - anodized, etc...

yeah let me know when they are available. i think i'll be ordering the rear sets and passenger peg kit. i really wish i didn't need the passenger pegs because it kind of defeats the purpose of even putting on the rearsets. but oh well...
