TITANIUM MEAT PUPPET

« on: June 23, 2016, 12:45:17 PM »

Just purchased (picking up this weekend) a 2016 1200R in black with the Termignoni cans. The dealer wasn't sure if it has a dedicated ECU or it is a download remap. Anyone know? Also, I am trading in my 2013 M1100EVO that has the Termignoni cans & for sure had a dedicated ECU. It has a lot of of burps & hiccups below 4K that everyone seemed to have. Does anyone have the 1200R with Termignoni cans & whatever is done with the ECU/remap, & is there issues at low RPM like on the M1100EVO? Thank you in advance

I have the Termi setup on my 821 and it's a remap. I can't say for sure that the 1200 is the same way, but I'd be willing to bet it is.

I would bet good money that it's a remap

You should get a little box with a Siemens connector "USB key" if you get the bike with the Termi installed, it should have already been "reflashed" after installation . . .

But, why only the cans and not the whole system?

1200R already has the 58mm header.

I have a standard M1200 (14) with the Termi racing cans. It is a remap, and it works very well.

All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

Check with the Parts Dept.  Two of my previous Ducati's had Termi exhausts that came with new ECU's and not remaps.  They could do things differently now but the Parts guys should be able to tell you what comes with the pipes.  Everyone does it a bit differently now. My SD1290R had a remap that came with a full system Akrapovic.
