Can this hurt my ignition system??

Hi gang,

Been working on my 02' M620 again. During the process of testing I have cranked the bike over without having a spark plug installed in the head or in its boot coming from the coil high tension wire. Then I got to reading where cranking an ignition system with the plug wire not grounded can be real bad, and that I should have disconnected the coils first! And that I may have harmed electrical components by doing what I had done.

Can someone please tell me how much I should really be concerned that by cranking the bike without a plug in the boot I may have harmed any part of the ignition system?

Thanks!

Probably not a big deal, but better to unhook the input to the coils or install spark plugs and attach the plug leads.
