Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Frame looks different, but this could be a test mule for something else? I thought the air cooled engines where left to the scramblers?

many customers who wanted a new Monster didn't want an 821 and kept the old Monsters . . . Maybe, this is a M796 or smaller . . . Will know for sure in a few weeks

I'm thinking why would would Ducati change the the frame so much, to make it larger than the current frame? I'm thinking this is a test mule for a larger scrambler i'v been reading about.

New chassis, dual swingarm with offset shock, air cooled motor. Big bore motor? Hmm .. Are there extra oil lines Im seeing? An advanced oil cooled cylinder jacket to manage lean afr heat and muffle motor noise? Have Ducati listened and found a way to hold off EPA standards.
I wish..

So maybe a new Monster spring boarding from the Scrambler?

Scrambler WILL keep frame as is at least this 1st gen . . . They're going for a "more offroad" Scrambler Enduro, notice it is higher and forks show it . . .

That would be a bad place to put them. It may be on an arm extending from the rider pegs, just hard to see in that picture.

Except for the headlight, I really like the new 797.  [Dolph]
