Does anyone know if OSFO10-10wt fork oil is the correct oil for a 2005 Ducati monster 620?  Race-tech's website says to use 10 wt and I couldn't find anything to verify that.  My friend is going to re spring my forks this weekend for me while I am out of town and the only thing I have left to get is the fork oil.  I think I am going to go with the Bel Ray 10 wt, unless anyone has some better suggestions.

Thank You
Paul

yup, same as mine, 7.5W or ATF . . . with one quart you should be OK, any brand you prefer . . .

From M620 manual:

Recommended oil:
SHELL Advance Fork 7.5 or DONAX TA
Standard capacity:0.480 cu. dm each leg
Standard oil level:104 mm
Oil quantity affects fork behaviour when at the end of the compression stroke.
High oil level increases compression loading, low oil level will lessen it.

Oil level is measured with forks fully compressed, no springs.

The OEM oil level is quite high, somewhat in combination with the dodgy OEM springs.

With those springs, I'd say start with 10wt at 120mm.

BTW, how much do you weigh?

I am still running stock shock and spring.  I dropped my bike off today to have the front fork springs I mentioned earlier put in, as well as the rear spring I got from race tech for my weight.  I did not do anything to the suspension prior to this.

I'm pretty sure what the kidz are saying is...

at your weight, you'd like your monster more if you also upgraded the rear suspension, as well as the front.

Mmmm... which shock spring did you get?

Was it Racetech's recommendation or.....?
