HELP - my bike won't move

So I'm at home without my Ducati. I had to wheel and leave it out behind a local store as it won't move. So I was baby siting my kids in my gear while the misses ran into the store to buy a cake. My bike was running idle at this point and I had only been riding it for about 15 mins. It was reversed parked on a slope with the front end being higher. When I got back on the bike I changed to 1st but there was no movement. It clicked as it typical would when changing into 1st but there was no movement. I could change through the gears but it didn't move in any of them. I can push the bike when in gear with no effort much like when its in neutral. I bled the clutch which made the clutch leaver slightly easier; however, I can still pull it in without to much effort (slightly more then normal effort is needed). The engine starts and runs fine without any abnormal sounds and the front sprocket moves when the bike is pushed. There is plenty of fuel and the spark plugs are less then 2 months old.

One of the boys mentioned that it might be a spring in the stater side that helps with gear changing, does anyone agree or have other ideas?

You should definitely start by removing the left side engine cover to verify the shift lever is moving the shift drum. You'll likely find broken pieces.

Turns out it was a retarded operator 

The clutch lever tension was lost. There was no play and it was stuck in gear/ neutral. One flat head screw drive an a non-incompetent operator and it was fixed in second. Thanks for all your help guys
