Author Topic: winter project m900 complete rebuilt  (Read 23822 times)

So winter is around the corner ...so I decided after 5 years to take the leap and decided that I have accumulated all the skillset and confidence  that I need to rebuild my bike..( I've taken alot of infos from tou guy's over the years) ..   I work in a Bank and have a degre in law......   no formal education in bike mecanics..... and before owning my bike  never actually change a spark plug on my car.

 ...  so lets begin ...some pics please

 Not that bad but the paint on the frame is miserable ! bang head

The cutting has begin ..... I've cut the to passeger bars at the back of the frame and fot rid of uneded stuff on the frame
.....  the frame looks better this way ...  Cheesy



And after a little bit of grinding ... (seriouslly I dont like that tool ...my husban gave me a few tips and tricks but he insisted that I do it myself......gald he did... waytogo ,





I also started to clean up the motor ...  bow down popcorn

In folling order

Brown scotchbrigt.... on most of the motor

 but the covers are getting a spacial treatement..
Wet sandpaper

220 , 800, 1200, 2000 grit

And some  aluminum polish (mother's)

And alot of patience.... bang head

And a looooong  bath after..... to clean myself..... Roll Eyes

I've started  to dismantle the original loom that I and in a box somewhere....   I got my motogadget loom alredy but I wana see how mutch I can "lean out " the OEM one  addding my little touch of engernering into it .......and compare it to the motogadget one....

I ' m haking it away.... Grin

I've modefied , cut and slpice some wires in the control switch.....    now the passing switch (hi-beam) has ben converted to acces the menu/ control on the motogadget gauge...  bow down Grin
