I picked up a new YSS for a good price, so will give that a try and see how it goes, reviews dont seem too bad ... Any experience of them ?. As for the headers, I am thinking polish the OEM

Stitch by stitch ... Fed the light wiring etc through the clubmans, to try and keep it tidy, a frustrating job. Clubmans and controls are now on. Ditched the plastic ignition switch cover for a billet one.
Braided Venhill lines made up, they were much easier to make than the oil cooler pipes
will tighten all unions once Im happy with routing.

That is going to be one pretty bike! Aesthetically I always liked those early 750s with the penis belt covers and inegral clutch slaves.

watch out for those braided lines rubbing on the cluster housing! I'm also feeling the pain with the oil lines, with a lack of correct tooling. my patience is fraying
cleeeean brake callipers! NOS? or cleaned up your old ones? if so any tips? mine are filthy, and the brembo goldmine paint seems to soak up brake dust.
damn all that polish looks good!

Penis belt covers
... Not heard them referred to as that before.

Yeah Nibor, the braiding is well abrasive, Ive left the lines loose for the moment until I get some line clips and plan out final routing etc.
I cut my oil line sleeve with a dremel and a dremel cutting disc, how you doing yours ?
No cleaning tips for the Brembos Im afraid bud, they are indeed NOS.
More polished parts in progress

Been a while since Ive posted any updates, life has been hectic ... Anyway, fettled and polished up the headers, they were pitted and nasty, took more effort than I thought but the result was worth the effort

All electrics done and working ... Had to tidy and lighten this rats nest
Poor spark on front cylinder, the wiring for the pic up was crap so replaced them both with P8s, you can pick these up at a great price from the UK manufacturer.
Fitted, new pick ups and dropped a new starter in whilst I was there, thought it might help with the high coms
The OEM main battery leads are poor, to say the least, the earth was showing heat problem due to restistance. Upgraded to some ExactStart high quality heavy cables .... These are nice.

Redone the master cylinder, braided line connectors, the angled connectors make a much neater job ... Dont know why I didnt go for them in the first place doh. Also fitted some fuel hose onto the lines in contact spots to stop chaffing.
