The stars have aligned...  I'm going to make a quick jaunt up to Sherman from McKinney via 543/2862/160/697 and back, Sunday morning.  I plan on heading out around 7AM.  If you are interested, let me know!

No, this was a freak window that opened for me.  I'll be in Missouri next weekend, so that's out.  Maybe next time!   waytogo

I'll do it!  I live across the street from Kroger at Custer/Eldorado, so I pull out and it's a straight shot up Custer...

Nice ride this morning... I was out before most everyone else was, including the Sunday 4-wheelers.  A little chilly... I'm going to need some different gear for the cooler months.  I'd forgotten how much I HATE riding when I'm cold... and I'm cold at pretty much anything below 70F.  Something else that doesn't like to be cold:  Rosso II's.  They stepped out on me a little before they were warmed up... took almost all the way to Weston.

Good news:  543 is done... and very nice!

Bad news:  Jeepers, the Monster needs a better seat!   Tongue

I had the Ducati Performance "Comfort" seat on my '04 620 Monster.  Well worth the money and made all the difference in the world  waytogo

I spent decades battling cold weather riding and last year I found heated clothing......I won't tell you how much I've spent believing in advertising.   Go buy heated gear!

Custer to 455 isn't bad but if you start at Preston you have 4 excellent turns with butter smooth pavement.   Hell do it twice.

Custer is the most expedient method, but if I have time I come back that way, turn around at the left turn and then go back... yes, those turns are very nice, and good learning fodder... I've noticed I'm getting faster through them.
