Hi guys, I'm back in Monster land.  [Dolph] . I've recently bought another monster and I'm looking for wheels and build ideas.

Please post pictures of your aftermarket or powder coated wheels and pleas include specs if you can it's helpful in the long run.

Marvic penta I magnesium wheels.

Still not sure if I like the gold paint and might paint black, but I love how they change the handling of the bike. After riding the stock wheels for 14 years and 110,000 km, it took me a couple weeks to get used to how quickly the bike turns in now. I've heard a number of people mention how lighter wheels is the best mod you can do to improve handling, but I was shocked at the difference. I had previously done a sbk fork conversion and a rear ohlins shock and they made a difference, but the lighter wheels transformed the ride to another level.

If you, or someone you hire, paints them be very careful with prep. You don't want to expose the magnesium.

Thanks for the info guys.. I was thinking of powder coating my wheels, but I went a head a bit the bullet and ordered a set of Borrani M-Ray 9 with Red Hoops, Red Hubs with Black spokes.  ETA is the first part of January.

I would have thought there would have been more wire spoke wheels in the monster world. I think the wire spokes really stand out on these bikes.

I sent Alpina an email about wheels for a single sided swingarm I was disappointed they didn't offer one.

I remember you telling me that before when I asked specifically about these wheels when I first bought them. I actually turned down an offer from a paint/body guy buddy to do them cheaply when he said he would sand them down and paint them. I was worried he would do exactly as you warned.

I looked at the Kieno wheels I think they look amazing. Since MV is using them on the Dragster I thought I would go with something else.  They look really good on the MV
