Looks like one big reg/rec under the rear cowl...

Well, yeah.

I get a very strong Amphicar vibe from it.

The swingarm kills them for me.  I can't get away from the grasshopper-y-ness of it.
Thanks... The grasshopper visions will no longer be avoidable.

Two years from now, Ducati will produce a better looking arm.  Some of those with the old arm will do the swap and all will be forgotten.  Some won't bother b/c honestly I can see this one being stronger and lighter.  It's odd how a lot of people place aesthetics above true weight loss when it really boils down to it.

rant over.

The body, I don't hate. The rest, like hiding the front brake by only taking pictures of the right side, I do hate. WTF with the extra dampers... it's not like Racetech is expensive...

I want to see how it looks with a bullet fairing, like the Sport 1000S.

Same here.  I thought maybe I was just too old school for my own good, but I see that I'm in good company.  I know there are some good reasons for it in addition to making room for the catalytic converter but it would be the first thing I'd try and do something about.
