I don't know the intricacies of MotoGP pilot contracts, so forgive me if I'm misled, but you get paid the same whether you have fun or not, right?  So...

AFAIK, there's substantial performance bonuses based on finishing position.

I think Cal, Jack, Maverick, Dovi, and Iannone saw some epic paychecks.

Not to mention that you're either gunning for a factory spot, where the real $$$ is, or fighting to keep it.
